I. Contacting People in order to gain them for the God-ordained way:
A. To gain people for the kingdom of God—Matt. 28:19.
B. To feed and raise up new members of the Body of Christ—John 21:15; 1 Thes. 2:7.
C. To perfect the saints to do the work of the ministry—Eph. 4:12.
D. To build up the organic Body of Christ through prophesying—1 Cor. 14:3-5, 31.
II. Ministering Christ to meet the need of every kind of person:
A. Not carrying out a social work but ministering Christ as life—Eph. 3:8.
B. Taking care of the saints in everything and in every way for the dispensing of Christ into them—Col. 1:28.
C. By following the Lord's example in John 4:
1. Seeking a way to get people to open to us.
2. Finding the proper utterance to touch people's spirit.
3. Catching the proper time to dispense Christ.
4. Stirring up people's hunger to seek the Lord by praying with them.
D. Not getting involved in people's situations and remaining outside of the realm of the knowledge of good and evil.
III. Contacting people not to convince, to catch, or to arrest, but to recover, to bring people back to the Lord—Gal. 6:1:
A. Not through rebuke or condemnation with any kind of negative spirit, attitude, or tone.
B. Avoiding superiority complex, argument, offense, or any form of humiliation.
C. Always remembering well that the church is not a police station or a law court, and that we are not the policemen or the judges.
D. Being full of love, concern, and sympathy in a meek and humble spirit, with the full realization that what people need is the Lord and what can solve their problem is to meet with the Lord.
IV. Shepherding the saints by contacting them repeatedly:
A. Willing to be slaves to the saints and humbling ourselves under them—1 Pet. 5:5-6.
B. Teaching the saints publicly from house to house—Acts 20:20.
C. Admonishing each one with tears night and day—Acts 20:31.
D. Visiting the saints and inviting them into our homes for meals.
V. Needing to be transformed and reconstituted for contacting people.
