Message Four The Ways and Means to Spread the Divine Truths
Scripture Reading: 2 Tim. 4:2; Acts 8:1, 4
I. The ways to spread the divine truths:
A. By living a vital life:
1. To be revived every morning and overcoming every day.
2. To live a life in resurrection under the cross.
B. By being constituted with the divine truths:
1. To study the Bible with the help of the ministry publications.
2. To enter into the crucial points of the truth, to speak them, and to let all of them become our experience.
C. By practicing the vital groups:
1. To pray and be blended with some companions.
2. To work by contacting people in preaching the high gospel, in teaching the deeper truths, and in testifying the Christian experiences.
D. By ministering the truth in every step of the God-ordained way:
1. To beget, nourish, and perfect others with the word of the truth.
2. To prophesy according to our knowledge of the divine truths.
E. By bringing others to our conferences and trainings:
1. To be nourished and enlightened by the ministry of the word.
2. To receive the divine truths in an intensified way.
F. By being ready to share the truth with all men at all times—2 Tim. 4:2.
G. By migrating within a country or emigrating to another country:
1. The first mentioning of migration for the spreading of the gospel being the basic principle for the spreading of the gospel, including the divine truths—Acts 8:1, 4.
2. To spread the divine truths in many languages to many cities and countries, both in the community and on university campuses.
H. By training the saints to practice the above-mentioned things.
II. The means to spread the divine truths:
A. Through the many publications of the ministry:
1. The writings of Watchman Nee.
2. The writings of Witness Lee.
B. Through the Recovery Version of the New Testament:
1. Its translated text and accompanying footnotes can be called the "crystallization" of the understanding of the divine revelation which the saints everywhere have attained to in the past two thousand years.
2. Its purpose:
a. To present the truth.
b. To minister the life supply.
c. To solve the common and hard problems in the New Testament.
d. To open up the books of the Bible.
3. Its features:
a. Being a new translation of the original Greek text based on available manuscripts and embodying extensive research into the meaning of the original text.
b. The subject and outlines of each book expressing the spiritual meaning in each book.
c. Over 9,000 extensive footnotes stressing the revelation of the truth, the spiritual light, and the supply of life.
d. Over 13,000 cross-references leading not only to verses with similar language but portions with related spiritual revelation in the divine Word.
e. Introductory historical information on each book.
f. Charts of important truths.
4. It being a Bible for people who wish to understand the Bible.
C. Through the use of the modern means of communication.
D. Our strategy to spread the truth is to present not the low things but the highest truths—the processed and consummated Triune God, the all-inclusive Christ, the all-inclusive consummated Spirit, the divine life, the Body of Christ, God's eternal economy, the God-men, and the New Jerusalem.
III. The Lord's recovery today has three assets for the spreading of the divine truths: the complete interpreted Bible, three thousand churches in six continents, and many saints around the world who are the base of our financial support:
A. We should rise up to pray, to go, and to give.
B. We must always endeavor to keep the oneness by practicing the one accord, learning to teach the divine truths in the central lane of God's New Testament economy.
